Note Taking
Over the years, I have used Evernote, Vimwiki, iOS Note, Zim, Obsidian, and various paper-based notetaking tools. Right now, I use plain text files organized by folders with Obsidian as the front end, and a letter-size binder for handwritten notes.
I print out lots of my notes, such as todos, routines and book list then add to my binder. I use CUPS's build-in lpr command to do so.
OS
I started using Ubuntu Linux since 2005. Arch Linux was my daily OS for many years. I switched to Apple Silicon Macbooks since M1 was released. My servers run either OpenBSD or Debian.
Text Editor
I use Vim/MacVim for text editing. It has a steep learning curve, but if a 7-yr old can remember 9x9 Times Table, any adults can remember the commonly used commands in Vim.
Launcher
My most used Linux tool was Rofi. I used Raycast on MacOS with dedicated shortcut before I switch to the build-in Spotlight of MacOs Tahoe.
